Itinerary

Departure/Return Location:

Hosea Kutako International Airport

DAY 1 - Windhoek

You have arrived at Hosea Kutako International Airport for your Namibian Self-Drive Adventure. Your transfer shuttle will be waiting for you. Should time permit we can arrange for a Windhoek City and Township Tour. Alternatively you can spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing by the hotel pool and recovering from your flight.

DAY 2 & 3 - Sossusvlei

Today, head into the Namib Desert, home to the iconic Sossusvlei, a salt and clay pan surrounded by towering red dunes. Located in the southern part of the Namib Desert, within the Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei and its surrounding area—including Deadvlei and other vast dunes—are some of Namibia’s top attractions. You’ll be staying inside the park, offering easy access to the Vlei at both sunrise and sunset for the ultimate desert experience.
On day two, rise early to meet your ground crew and embark on an unforgettable Hot Air Balloon ride, soaring above the majestic Namib Desert, the oldest desert in the world. Enjoy a breathtaking birds-eye view of this vast, serene landscape.

DAY 4 & 5 - Swakopmund

Next, head to the charming coastal town of Swakopmund, also known as “Mouth of the Swakop.” Along the way, stop at Solitaire, a small settlement nestled in the Khomas Region near the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Solitaire is home to the only gasoline station, post office, bakery, and general dealer between Sossusvlei and Walvis Bay, offering a convenient pit stop on your journey.
For thrill-seekers, Swakopmund offers the adrenaline-pumping experience of a Tandem Sky Dive. If you're after something a little less intense, consider a seal kayaking excursion, a living desert tour, or a quad biking session outside the dune belt of Swakopmund.

DAY 6 & 7- Twyfelfontein

Twyfelfontein, nestled among stunning rock formations and ancient Bushman paintings, offers spacious campsites with views of the Gauntegab Riverbed. The area is frequented by Desert Elephants, and each campsite features tree house-style ablution facilities with hot showers.
On day two, join a guide to track the desert-adapted Damaraland elephants, then head to Brandberg, Namibia’s highest peak. Visit the sacred Tsisab Ravine, home to the ‘White Lady’ rock painting and teeming with wildlife like zebra, kudu, springbok, and desert elephants.

DAY 8 & 9 - Erindi Private Game Reserve

Camp Elephant offers stunning views of a bustling waterhole from your accommodation, with nearby viewpoints perfect for capturing wildlife moments. Currently undergoing renovations, Camp Elephant is set to reopen for bookings around mid-2026.

The following day, embark on a unique game drive with a telemetry-qualified guide, tracking tagged animals and focusing on spotting larger species from higher ground. Sightings are shared with other game drives for a broader wildlife experience.

DAY 10 - Return to Windhoek

Bid farewell to Erindi Game Reserve and head back to Windhoek. Return your rental vehicle to the car hire depot by 16H00. After the vehicle check-in, your airport transfer will be arranged for your departure.
