DAY 1 to 3 - Cape Town

Your Cape Town journey begins with a warm welcome at Cape Town International Airport, where we whisk you to a stylish hotel in the vibrant Seapoint district. In the late afternoon, we ascend Table Mountain, offering sweeping views of the city and coastline. On day two, we explore Cape Town leisurely, taking in the sights on foot and by bus. A highlight of the day is a stroll through the picturesque waterfront, followed by an evening of exquisite dining. Day three starts early with a scenic drive along the stunning Atlantic coast, passing Camps Bay and Hout Bay, leading us to the iconic Cape of Good Hope. We then return along False Bay, ending the day with a delicious seafood dinner, featuring fresh, local flavours.

DAY 4 - Lamberts Bay

Our journey from Cape Town to Lambert's Bay unfolds along the scenic west coast, offering a plethora of captivating sights along the way. Our first stop is the new San Heritage Center, !Khwa ttu, providing insights into the rich cultural heritage of the San people. Continuing north, we reach Lambert's Bay, where the charming Lambert's Bay Hotel awaits us as our accommodation. One of the main highlights in Lambert's Bay is "Bird Island," a nature conservation area teeming with Cape gannets, cormorants, and penguins, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. As the day winds down, we indulge in a delightful dinner at the hotel, concluding our day of exploration with a delicious culinary experience.

DAY 5 - Tulbagh

Embarking on the next leg of our adventure, we depart from Lambert's Bay and set our course toward Tulbagh, a journey filled with fascinating discoveries. En route, we pass through Clanwilliam, renowned as the epicentre of rooibos tea plantations, offering a glimpse into the world of this aromatic and healthful brew.

DAY 6 & 7 - Montague

Journeying from Tulbagh to Montagu, the scenic drive reveals views of lush vineyards and the towering Langeberg Mountains. Montagu’s historic allure is on display with its cobblestone streets, charming Cape Dutch buildings, and the Montagu Museum, offering a step back in time. Unwind in the soothing mineral springs or immerse yourself in nature at the Montagu Nature Garden.

The following day brings visits to the nearby wine towns of Robertson, Bonnievale, and Ashton. Discover the botanical beauty at Van Loveren, followed by a tranquil boat trip and picnic at Viljoensdrift. The day concludes with a tractor ride and a rustic “braai” in Ashton, blending history, nature, wine, and warm hospitality into one unforgettable experience.

DAY 8 & 9 - Klaarstroom

Traveling along the famed Route 62, we journey through the Little Karoo, flanked by the Langebergen and Swartbergen mountains, reaching Oudtshoorn. After a delightful port wine tasting in Calitzdorp, we continue to Klaarstroom, where a charming guesthouse awaits, offering a true taste of South African hospitality.

The next morning, we head to the artistic town of Prince Albert, immersing ourselves in its vibrant art scene. From there, an exhilarating drive along a picturesque gravel road takes us up to the Swartberg Mountains, where we’re treated to breathtaking views and unforgettable landscapes. A day filled with artistic inspiration and natural beauty unfolds before us.

Day 10 & 11 - Addo Elephant National Park

Arriving at Addo Elephant National Park, we settle into comfortable chalets or cottages within the rest camp, surrounded by wildlife. Enjoy delightful meals at the local restaurant, where the sounds of the wild enhance the experience.

The following day, we embark on an exhilarating game drive, followed by a scenic bus tour through the park, taking in the stunning beauty of the surroundings. Throughout the day, we savour delicious meals at the camp's renowned "Cattle Baron," creating the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.

DAY 12 & 13 - Garden Route

Leaving Addo Elephant National Park, we drive south along the N2, passing Port Elizabeth’s historic sites and scenic beaches before reaching the charming Plettenberg Bay. En route, don’t miss the natural wonders of Tsitsikamma National Park, known for its lush forests, dramatic cliffs, and rich marine life. Our destination, the original Belle Balance Lodge in Plettenberg Game Park/Reserve, awaits in the heart of the wilderness. The day is flexible, embracing spontaneity and tailoring our stops based on weather and whim, ensuring an exciting adventure through the captivating landscapes of the Garden Route.

DAY 14 & 15 - Overberg

Our journey begins along the Garden Route, exploring Knysna, Wilderness, George, Mossel Bay, and Albertinia before reaching Heidelberg in the Overberg region. On day two, we visit a farm to learn about South Africa’s agricultural heritage, then head to Arniston, a charming coastal town known for its unspoiled beaches and historical charm. Our stay in rustic holiday homes offers an authentic experience of the region, filled with scenic beauty and local culture.

DAY 16 & 17 - Arniston

On day two in Arniston, we visit Cape Agulhas, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet, offering breathtaking views from the historic lighthouse. In Bredasdorp, we explore the shipwreck museum and Kapula candle exhibition before enjoying a delicious meal at Miens Tea Garden with fresh seafood and wild oysters.

The following day, we journey through Elim, Baardskeerdersbos, Gansbaai, Stanford, and Hermanus, stopping in Betty's Bay to see the “Harold Porter” botanical garden and penguin colony. Our scenic route continues along “Clarence Drive” to Gordons Bay, concluding in a peaceful retreat between Somerset West and Stellenbosch, in the Cape Winelands.

DAY 18 & 19 - Stellenbosch

The Cape Winelands offer much more than just exceptional wines. While Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are the region's stars, hidden gems like the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden and the Car Museum near Franschhoek add depth to the cultural experience. In Stellenbosch, explore the Rupert Gallery and village museum, where art and history come to life. In Franschhoek, embark on a sensory journey through the first perfume museum and discover the vibrant village museums, which showcase the area's rich heritage.

As we continue through the Winelands, we embrace the perfect blend of vineyards, fine cuisine, and artistic treasures, creating an unforgettable experience that marries history, culture, and nature.

DAY 19 - Cape Town

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and perhaps take a refreshing swim before checking out at 10 AM. Spend the morning browsing the charming shops of Stellenbosch for some last-minute souvenirs.

Later, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey, bringing your unforgettable guided tour of the Garden Route to a close.
