DAY 1 - Windhoek

Day 5 to 7 - Fish River Canyon Hike

Today you will embark on a captivating three-day hike through the breathtaking terrain of Fish River Canyon, immersing yourself in nature's grandeur. As you traverse the rugged landscape, each day promises new discoveries and unforgettable experiences.
Throughout the journey, all your meals are meticulously prepared and included, ensuring you're energized for the adventure ahead. While you focus on the trail, our lodge's logistics team will handle the transportation of your luggage, leaving you free to carry only your snacks and drinking water.
At the end of each day's hike, rest awaits at our well-equipped campsites, where comfortable tented accommodation and bush washrooms are set up for your convenience. Gather around the campfire under the vast African sky as hearty meals are served, sharing stories and marvelling at the beauty of your surroundings. As the night falls, find serenity in the wilderness and prepare for another day of exploration along the majestic Fish River Canyon.

DAY 8 - Tiras Mountains

Leaving behind the majestic vistas of Fish River Canyon, you'll embark on a scenic drive towards the Tiras Mountains. Along the way, immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of Namibia's southern landscape, where towering cliffs and rocky outcrops dominate the horizon.
As you travel the winding roads, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings amidst the arid terrain. From graceful antelopes to elusive desert-dwelling creatures, the region is home to a diverse array of species adapted to its harsh environment.
Take the opportunity to explore the foothills of the Tiras Mountains on foot, embarking on a hike or nature walk to immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the natural surroundings. DAY 9 & 10 - Sossusvlei

Today you leave the rugged beauty of the Tiras Mountains behind and prepare for a captivating journey to the iconic Sossusvlei.
Setting out from the tranquil foothills, you'll embark on a scenic drive through Namibia's vast desert landscapes. Along the way, marvel at the ever-changing scenery, from expansive plains to towering dunes that stretch as far as the eye can see.
Take the opportunity to explore the unique flora and fauna that call Sossusvlei home, from hardy desert-adapted plants to elusive desert-dwelling creatures. Keep an eye out for the iconic oryx and ostriches that roam the dunes, adding to the surreal beauty of the landscape.

DAY 11 & 12 - Swakopmund

As you journey toward Swakopmund, stop at Solitaire, a key pit stop between Sossusvlei and Walvis Bay. This desert oasis offers essential provisions, including the region's only fuel station, bakery, and general store. Don’t miss the famous Apfel Strudel before continuing your journey.

Swakopmund is Namibia’s adventure capital, offering thrilling activities for all ages. From sand-boarding on iconic dunes to serene beach walks and gourmet dining, every moment in this coastal town promises excitement and exploration.

DAY 13 - Damaraland

Leaving Swakopmund, your journey unveils Namibia's wonders. The Skeleton Coast greets you with its dunes meeting the ocean, a surreal sight. In Damaraland, rugged cliffs and ancient rock formations create a dramatic backdrop. Keep an eye out for desert-adapted wildlife like elephants.
Stop at the Petrified Forest, a prehistoric marvel, and reach Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO site. Explore ancient rock engravings, telling stories of Namibia's past. Your route weaves tales of nature and heritage, painting a vivid Namibian picture.

DAY 14 to 16 - Damaraland Hike

05H30 AM: Rise and shine! Guests will receive a wake-up call and hand over their luggage to the logistics team. They will only need to carry their day backpack.
06H00 AM: Enjoy a refreshing cup of coffee and Rusks before embarking on the day's adventure. Brunch will be served along the route to keep hikers energized.
06H30 AM: The hiking trail begins, spanning approximately 12 kilometers. Hikers will traverse the farm and venture into a dry riverine within the Namib Naukluft Park, passing by breathtaking rock formations. Keep an eye out for wildlife sightings, including Oryx, Zebra, Springbok, and if luck is on our side, some nocturnal creatures. Don't miss the opportunity for stargazing on this unique farm—it's an unforgettable experience!

DAY 17 - Waterberg Region

Your self-drive adventure continues from Damaraland to the Waterberg region, prepare for a journey filled with captivating landscapes and unique experiences.
Driving through Damaraland, you'll be treated to stunning vistas of rugged mountains, expansive plains, and ancient rock formations. Watch for the region's famous desert-adapted wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and oryx, as they roam freely in their natural habitat.
For history enthusiasts, a visit to the Waterberg Plateau Park offers insight into Namibia's rich cultural heritage. Learn about the region's significance as a sanctuary for wildlife and its role in the country's conservation efforts.
Don't miss the chance to embark on a game drive or guided nature walk, where you can encounter a variety of animal species, including rhinos, buffalo, and antelopes. The Waterberg region is renowned for its diverse wildlife, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers.

DAY 18 - Return to Windhoek

As your 18-day self-drive adventure concludes today, it's time to return to Windhoek. Ensure the rental vehicle is returned to the depot by 16:00 for check-in. Once the vehicle is processed, you'll be promptly transferred to the airport for your onward journey. To avoid any rush, we suggest arriving at the airport at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure flight.

In Namibia, the official currency is the Namibian Dollar (NAD), which is pegged to the South African Rand (ZAR), and the Rand is also widely accepted.

In Botswana, the local currency is the Botswana Pula (BWP), though South African Rand may be accepted in some places.

In Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe), the Zimbabwean Dollar (ZWL) is used, but US Dollars, South African Rand, and other currencies are commonly accepted, especially in tourist areas.

In South Africa, the official currency is the South African Rand (ZAR). It is widely accepted across the country and can also be used in Namibia, where the Namibian Dollar (NAD) is pegged to it.

Travel Requirements for Adults with Children Under 18

Adults travelling with children under 18 must provide the child’s original Birth Certificate and a consent form if only one parent is accompanying the child. Failure to present these documents may result in denied entry.

Visa

If your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you’re visiting, you will need to apply for a visa before your departure. Additionally, some countries may require an invitation letter for the Namibian Embassy to process a tourist visa.
