Itinerary

Departure/Return Location:

Maun International Airport / Hosea Kutako International Airport

DAY 1 & 2 - Arrival in Maun & Fly into the Okavango Delta

Your journey begins in Maun, where you'll be met by the charter flight team and flown into the Okavango Delta. From above, the landscape unfolds in a mosaic of islands, winding channels, and wildlife paths. You’ll spend two nights at Delta Camp, an eco-friendly lodge nestled under ebony trees. The open-fronted chalets offer views straight onto the floodplains, with the sounds of nature all around. On your second day, set out on a guided bush walk with a skilled tracker. These walks focus on the smaller details of the delta—animal tracks, bird calls, and useful plants—offering a deeper connection to the environment at a slower, more mindful pace.

DAY 3&4 - From the Delta to the Savuti Marsh

After breakfast, you'll fly east to the Savuti region of Chobe National Park. On arrival, a short transfer brings you to Camp Savuti, a small tented camp overlooking the Savuti Channel. Known for its predator activity, the area offers excellent chances to see lion, leopard, wild dog, and large herds of buffalo and elephant. Day 4 includes two guided activities, one of which is a game drive in an open vehicle led by an experienced guide. Early mornings and late afternoons are ideal for spotting wildlife, while midday offers time to relax and enjoy the view from your tent’s private deck.

DAY 5&6 - Riverfront Safari in Chobe

From the Savuti, you’ll take a short flight to Kasane, where you're transferred to a lodge set along the Chobe River. This region is well known for its high density of elephants, especially during the dry season when herds gather at the water’s edge. During your two-night stay, you'll head out on a guided game drive into Chobe National Park and enjoy a boat cruise along the river. The game drive explores woodlands and open plains, with chances to see lion, buffalo, giraffe, and more. The boat cruise, often in the late afternoon, offers superb photography—elephants crossing the water, hippos surfacing, and crocodiles basking along the banks. Evenings are spent at leisure at the lodge, with the river flowing quietly past.

DAY 7 to 9 - Cross into Namibia & Settle into the Zambezi Region

After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the lodge for a scenic road transfer across the border into Namibia. The journey takes you through rural landscapes and along lush floodplains as you make your way into the Zambezi Region, formerly known as the Caprivi. Your base for the next three nights is RiverDance Lodge, a quiet riverside retreat near Divundu. The lodge’s wooden chalets are tucked beneath trees and offer peaceful views of the Kavango River, where hippos and birdlife are often spotted. During your stay, you’ll head out on guided game drives into both Mahango National Park and the Buffalo Core Area—prime spots for seeing elephant, buffalo, sable antelope, and more. A boat cruise rounds out the experience, giving you time to enjoy the scenery from the water as the sun sets and the bird calls echo through the trees. This part of Namibia is quieter than most, ideal for travellers looking to slow down and connect with the wilderness.

DAY 10 - Stopover in Grootfontein, Home of the Hoba Meteorite

Leaving the river behind, you’ll travel southwest toward Grootfontein, a convenient overnight stop on the way to Etosha. The landscape changes to open farmland and scattered settlements. While here, you can visit the Hoba Meteorite—the world’s largest known intact meteorite, weighing around 60 tonnes. It lies where it landed over 80,000 years ago, offering a brief but fascinating look at Namibia’s geological history. Your lodge provides a comfortable rest before the safari continues in Etosha the following day.

DAY 11&12 - Wildlife Encounters at Onguma Nature Reserve, Etosha

Next, you head to Etosha National Park for two nights at Onguma Nature Reserve, located just outside the park’s eastern gate. Onguma offers a peaceful base with comfortable lodges overlooking plains and nearby waterholes where wildlife often gathers. Spend your first day unwinding and watching the animals from camp. On day two, join a guided game drive in an open vehicle—ideal for spotting elephants, giraffes, lions, and, with luck, a black rhino. The experience brings you close to Etosha’s remarkable wildlife before returning to your lodge for a relaxed evening.

DAY 13&14 - Ongava Game Reserve, Etosha

From Onguma, continue west into the private Ongava Game Reserve, where you'll spend two nights just outside Etosha’s southern boundary. Ongava offers a more exclusive safari with fewer vehicles and excellent wildlife sightings. Enjoy guided game drives across varied landscapes, from woodlands to open plains, with chances to see black-maned lions, elephant herds, and sable antelope. A full-day drive takes you deeper into the area, guided by knowledgeable trackers. In the evenings, return to your lodge and unwind to the sounds of the wild.

Day 15 &16 – Charter Flight to Sossusvlei

After parting ways with your guide, you’ll board a charter flight to the edge of the Namib Desert. Your next two nights are spent at a luxury lodge near Sossusvlei, offering comfort in one of Namibia’s most iconic landscapes. A guided excursion takes you into the heart of the dunes, visiting landmarks like Dune 45 and Big Daddy. The red sand, shifting light, and desert wildlife create a dramatic and memorable experience—vast, silent, and completely unlike anywhere else you've been so far.

DAY 17 - Return to Windhoek

After breakfast, it’s time to pack your bags and prepare for your journey home. You’ll board a small charter flight back to Windhoek, arriving in good time for your scheduled departure.
