As you journey from Grootfontein to Rundu, you’ll traverse scenic savanna landscapes, encountering a blend of tarred and gravel roads. Upon arrival in Rundu, located along the Okavango River, immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture, explore bustling markets, and take in the serene river views. The town also serves as a gateway to Namibia’s northern regions and nearby Botswana. On your second day, explore Rundu’s offerings with boat cruises on the Okavango River, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and birds. Cultural tours to local villages provide a glimpse into traditional life, while fishing, bird watching, and game drives add to the adventure.
