All travellers to Namibia must possess a passport valid for at least six months beyond their entry date, with a minimum of three blank pages for entry and exit stamps. A valid return ticket is also required. Additionally, all visitors must obtain a visa unless they hold a passport from a country with a visa exemption agreement with Namibia.
On 3 March 2023, the Ministry of Home Affairs introduced the Visa-on-Arrival initiative, a travel facilitation programme designed to streamline and improve the travel experience for international tourists. This service will take effect from 1 April 2025.
Travellers can apply for a visa online. These are valid for up to three months from the date of issue and permit stays up to three months from entry.
