Things we recommend

Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek

The adventure begins as soon as you touch ground at Hosea Kutako International Airport. Our friendly shuttle driver will be waiting for you at the arrival gates. Catch your first glimpses of Windhoek through the car window as we transport you directly to the car hire depot to get your vehicle.

You will be camping, so you can use the afternoon to stock up on supplies, in order to get an early start, the next day.

Once you have all the necessities, head to the B&B to freshen up and unwind. You have the option of spending the rest of the day, lounging by the hotel pool and adjusting to the city, but if you are a culture vulture like us, we suggest an added option of a guided Windhoek City and Township Tour. Learn about the city’s rich heritage through the eyes of our expert guide and taste some delicious local cuisine.

  • WHK City & Township Tour is optional can be pre-booked at N$ 850 P/P cost for adults and N$ 500 P/P for children under the age of 12. 
  • We highly recommend booking a flight that lands earlier in the day so that you have plenty of time to relax and explore this interesting city, there is much to see in Windhoek!

Day 2: Southern Etosha

Hit the open road and head to the South side of Etosha National Park.  You can choose if you would like to pre-book guided game drives as an optional extra from the lodges or self-drive and explore the park independently.

Activities offered in the area: AM/ PM & Nocturnal Game Drives.


Day 3: Eastern Etosha

Spend the full day game-driving and getting in touch with your wild side inside the park.

Stop over at the different watering holes and observe the sometimes, large number of different animals, quenching their thirst. Watering holes make for the ideal photo opportunities so don’t forget your camera! Spot lions, warthogs, bat eared foxes and many more!

Day 4&5: Mahango Game Reserve

Try to get an early start as the drive is a little further today.  Your accommodation is near two National parks, the Mahango National Park, and Bwabwata National Park.

All the lodges in the area offer guided game drives, so if you are tired of driving, let someone else do it for you!

Almost all the antelope species living in North-Eastern Namibia can be seen here, among them are rare species like roan and sable antelope. Also, be on the lookout for other animals such as rhinoceros and elephants.

Take your time exploring as you have 2 days here to relax and take in the bush-veld.

Day 2: You have the day at leisure to explore the surrounding area. Day 5 includes an early evening boat cruise so make sure to set that time aside.

Day 6: Western Caprivi Strip

The Caprivi Strip is a long and narrow strip of land along the Okavango. The strip protrudes eastward for about 450 km from the North-Eastern corner of Namibia and is boarded by, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Angola. 6 tribes call this area home so to say it is diverse may be an understatement.

The diversity, prolific bird life and animal life make the strip a highlight for many travellers. Enjoy an afternoon river cruise on day 7 and see how many animals you can spot along the shoreline.

Points of interest: Street Market with Arts & Crafts, & Bwabwata National Park.

Day 7&8: Chobe River Front

Today you will head to the Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. It has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa and if you are lucky you will see all of the Big 5 here!

By size, it is the third largest park in the country, after the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Gemsbok National Park and is the most biologically diverse. It is also Botswana’s first national park.

Self-drive or guided game drives or boat cruises are available from all lodges in the area. These make for spectacular game-viewing opportunities.

Day 2: You have the day at to relax or self-drive into Chobe National Park. Guided game drives are available for around U$ 50 P/P and boat cruises cost around U$ 55 P/P.

Day 9: Victoria Falls

Time to say goodbye to your trusty 4×4 vehicle as it is collected from the lodge. A transfer will be ready at 10H00 to take you to Victoria Falls.

Spend the day exploring the waterfalls and perhaps join in on one of the many activities the area has to offer, such as scenic flights, bungee jumping, elephant-back rides to name just a few.

The best time to view the falls is in the late afternoon.

Day 10: Flight to Tanzania

You will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania, via OR Tambo International Airport in South Africa.

Upon arrival, our fantastic and only collaborating tour partner, Foot Slopes Tours & Safaris, who are stationed in northern Tanzania, will take over. Your Tanzanian fully guided camping adventure begins now..

  • We suggest spending the night in Johannesburg, so your day isn’t too rushed before your flight to Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport.

Day 11: Arrival in Tanzania

Welcome to Tanzania! As your plane descends into Kilimanjaro International Airport between the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru/ Arusha airport your adventure into the wilds of the country will finally begin. A representative will meet you in the arrivals hall of the airport, and together you will make a short drive to the Venice Hotel just inside the city.


Day 12: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at the lodge you leave early to the Tarangire National park. This is the third largest park in Tanzania and it is characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered in this park. The Baobab trees are one of the other highlights of Tarangire and the Tarangire River that flows all year round is the life blood of the park. Many animals; predators and the preys alike gather around the river where you can do excellent game viewing after game evening drive you back to the Panorama campsite for dinner and overnight.


Day 13: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

The breakfast will be served at 06h00. Pick up from the Camp at 07h00 and drive to the Great Serengeti National with your Picnic Lunch Packed and game drives en route via Ngorongoro Crater rim. The Serengeti National Park the home to lion leopard Elephant Cheetah Buffalo Zebra Wildebeest Eland Wild dog Gazelles Crocodiles and more. Serengeti is one of the most comprehensive and appealing internet presentations on nature conservation and research in general. Every day hundreds of nature-lovers and tourists from all over the world visit the virtual Serengeti. In our day it is one of the most famous national parks on Earth renowned for its magnificent lions but best known for its great migration. Seronera campsite.


Day 14: Central Serengeti game drive

After the breakfast you will have a game viewing at Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti, Tanzania largest National Park, covers nearly 6,000 square miles of grassland plains, Savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and River line forests systems serve as critical water sources and are often excellent sites for wildlife viewing. Beyond the heralded migration of wildebeest and zebra, the Serengeti is best known for its big predators, including cheetah and Leopard, as well as large prides of Lions and clans of Hyenas and many animals, dinner and overnight at Seronera Campsite.


Day 15: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After early in morning breakfast you will have early in the morning game drive later you will back to the campsite to have an early hot lunch, our driver and chef will load everything on top of our safari jeep and you will continuous with game viewing en-route during your way from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater. You will be in Ngorongoro Crater late in the evening where the night will be spent on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight will be at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite.


Day 16: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara

This day we will start early morning at 07:00 for the game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater for 5-6hrs. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. After great all exploration in Ngorongoro Crater we will drive to Fanaka campsite for dinner and overnight.


Day 17: Lake Manyara to Arusha

After breakfast the journey to Lake Manyara. On the lakeshore, you can also observe elephants, hippopotamus, buffalos, guenons, banded mongooses and numerous types of gazelles and antelopes. Furthermore the park is well known for its tree climbing lions. Visitors can regularly observe lions taking a nap in the tree canopies or escaping from the heat on the ground. After watching the animals and exploring the national park, you leave the park in the afternoon and travel to the Arusha and Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.


Day 18: Arusha National park

Depart Arusha in the morning with your private guide and travel to Arusha National Park, a short 40 minute drive from Arusha town.
The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Hollywood also chose this region to film the movie “Hartari” in which Hardy Kruger starred alongside the legendary John Wayne. Your day trip includes a visit to the Ngurdoto Crater, affectionately known as the “Little Ngorongoro”. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs and zebras can all be seen year round as well as many different bird species. Only a few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed.
Later proceed back to Arusha in the evening. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel


Day 19: Arusha to Kilimanjaro, Mandara hut

At the first day you have to drive about 2 hrs through Kilimanjaro in the morning the semi tropical foothills to Marangu area which situated on the south-eastern side of the mountain. As you drive, there is usually some admirable view of the snow-capped peak of the mountain. On arrival at Marangu gate, you meet your team of guides and porters, pick up any last minute supplies for the trek, and head to the entrance of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park to register for the climb. From the cluster of buildings at the gate it is some four to five hours walk through patches of coffee plantation and dense rain forest to Mandara Hut.

Day 20: Drop you off to Kilimanjaro Airport /Arusha airport

After breakfast in the hotel transfer you to the airport with the international flights you booked back your home
